If you want to be "in", just create a YouTube Account.
How ? Just go to YouTube website. But Why ? Not just because it is free. But because if you want to promote something, someone or discover e-culture, it is a place to be !

You access to a large community and so, you can keep in touch or meet many person linked to you hobbit or interessed by your stuff. In fact instead of you "netcasting" your videos on the Internet, YouTube offers you some well craft application...
You can build your own net TV with your favorite videos, you can build a sort of web ring with your friends, you got also your own mail, a system to subscire to group, and a place (a page)
to describe you.

We didn't discuss about the main thing that is making YouTube. It is a central website on the Internet, is value is also coming from all the people, trafic ! If your stuff is well accepted on YouTube, your work can circulate through millions of computers.

Your PC can get damage, broken, full of coffee, destroyed by micro asteroid. So you must protect, save your data. Howto ? Many different are possible, and the best is too use them all.

First you can get an external hard drive. Lacie are cool and strong. You stock your work on them regulary.

Antother thing, you get save your datas on the web, private servors exist. And you can get a huge virtual disk accessible from everywhere. Free offer you this possibility. BUT you have to be aware about the security risk. Do not leave these sort of material without passwords etc...

The easiest way to create your page ! CMS - Content Management System. You don't know HTML, PHP, python, CSS, you don't care, but you want to have some pages online to put texts, images, videos etc... A rich website without very specific technical skills.

Few years ago, it wasn't possible on Internet. And now thanks to developpers all over the world, you can easily build and put content on the Web.

The most well known example for CMS : a Blog. You put your texts in cases and choose your title blog, its skin and some other things and in few seconds your website is online. While few years ago, many hours would have been necessary. Other example : Wikipedia. A big CMS everyone can manage contents, on every pages.

Open Proxy

An Open proxy is a remote computer which will accept client connections from any IP address (any computers on connected to Internet) and make connections to any Internet resource.

Some uses are possible :

- Open proxy can be used to regroup website cache from many users and so on enhance speed when visiting website.
- Anonymous. By using a proxy, website visited records proxy server IP, not yours. So it's common to use open proxy to visit illegal website.
- Spam. Most of the spam is illegal, a good way to not be caught for spammers is to used Open proxy to launch and get their target.

A dangerous thing is when your PC is turning into an open proxy. Yes, some viruses are opening ports and give all the access to hackers, spammers. And your IP is involved in bad task.

It means populate your organization with young people. They inherently understand digital technology because they were raised on it, and they provide the best window on the needs of the next generation...

The young generation born with a computer in the cradle. That's why, they're very used to new technologies.

For example, my parents always ask me when they need to download something or to send a specific file through the internet.

And i guess i will ask my children for doing not existing yet things. That's pretty much human evolution.
And that already happened to me. I remember i had to ask my little cousins where i can find a website which gives american series subtitles !

The youngest generation is already far more better than me on that stuff.

Outsource to the customer

"Outsourcing" involves transferring or sharing management control and/or decision-making of a business function to an outside supplier. And the outside supplier can be the customer.

Why is it interesting to outsource to the customer ? On digital medias, the 1 to 1 relation is particuluary appreciated and easy to realize. First, Internet users are expecting this on a website (it is the plus of digital media). And the customer will feel pleased if He is involved in the creation of a product, a company identity and/or a service...

And actually this feeling is the goal of the campany. Some managers know that pretty well. But they do not forget that the client has an important creative potential. A good example is the website of Lesieur, a french oil company. It proposed a competition between Internet users. They could publish video clips for the company products and the first five selected were paid.
So it is a way to get creativity cheaper and to involve consumer.
